The Best Games To Play in Under 30 Minutes

Hello!

I would like to share my favourite games that take under 30 minutes to play. As much as I love a whole evening committed to a good game, we play a lot more games while we're waiting for dinner to cook or for somebody to come over. Sometimes we choose three 30 minute games and play best of three... There are less argument that way as you usually win at least one game :)

Some of these may have taken a little longer than 30 minutes when we started playing them, but I promise, all of these can be done in half an hour!

1. Sagrada

This is a dice game with amazing replayability, gorgeous looks and simple rules. My current favourite!

Strategy VS Luck: 50% Strategy, 50% Luck

Replayability: 10/10

Faff Factor: Low

Cost: £££ (Over £30)

Best No of Players: 2-4

3. Jaipur

This is such a great game to travel with. You need a little space but it's quick and a compact box. I have photos of this game with us all over the world.

Replayability: 8/10

Faff Factor: Low

Cost: £ (Under £20)

Best No of Players: 2

4. Duel

This is a really clever game. Lots of ways to win and lose and never the same twice. This would be higher on the list but it is a prime candidate for analysis paralysis (often making it longer than 30 minutes).

Strategy VS Luck: 50% Strategy, 50% Luck

Replayability: 9/10

Faff Factor: Medium

Cost: £ (Under £20)

Best No of Players: 2

5. Forbidden Island

This is a co-operative game and we play it lots. It can be over really quickly if you're not lucky or smart!

Strategy VS Luck: 50% Strategy, 50% Luck

Replayability: 7/10

Faff Factor: Low

Cost: £ (Under £20)

Best No of Players: 2-4

6. Patchwork

This game needs loads of room but it's totally worth it! A simple, visual, competitive game. And I usually win this one :)

Strategy VS Luck: 50% Strategy, 50% Luck

Replayability: 7/10

Faff Factor: Low

Cost: £ (Under £20)

Best No of Players: 2

7. Love Letter

The ultimate travel game, you can play this in a bar or the train. It's also great with more than 2 players and it's only £7.99.
